Why it works

VisualMem is built on how memory actually stores words — through pictures, sound and timing.

🖼️

Four images per word

Each word is shown through four different AI-generated scenes. Pictures reach memory through a second channel that plain text never touches.

🔊

Three listening speeds

Every word is recorded slow, normal and fast, with IPA phonetics — so you train your ear before your eyes.

🗺️

A curriculum, not a feed

Words are organized by CEFR level and everyday topics, so you always know what to learn next.

⏳

Spaced repetition — coming soon

The VisualMem app will bring every word back at the exact moment you are about to forget it.

What is VisualMem?

VisualMem is a free vocabulary-learning project on YouTube. It teaches eleven languages — American and British English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Russian — and shows every word with four AI-generated images, audio at three speeds, IPA transcription and a CEFR level. No account, no app and no translation are required.

VisualMem is an independent educational project that teaches foreign-language vocabulary through short visual lessons. Every word gets its own four AI-generated images, studio-quality pronunciation at three speeds, phonetic spelling and a CEFR difficulty level — in eleven languages.

Today the lessons are published daily as YouTube Shorts. Next comes the VisualMem app: flash cards with spaced repetition, built on the same visual library.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about VisualMem, the languages and how the lessons work.

What is VisualMem?

VisualMem is a free educational project that teaches foreign-language vocabulary through short visual video lessons on YouTube. Each lesson covers one word with four AI-generated images, pronunciation at three speeds, phonetic spelling and a CEFR level.

Is VisualMem free?

Yes. All lessons are published on public YouTube channels. There is no account, no subscription fee, no paywall and no app to install.

Which languages can I learn?

Eleven: American English, British English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Russian. Each language has its own YouTube channel.

How is a word taught?

Every word is shown through four different AI-generated scenes, then pronounced slowly, at normal speed and fast, with its IPA transcription and CEFR level on screen. There is no translation: the meaning comes from the pictures and the sound.

Which levels are covered?

Words are organized by CEFR level from A1 (beginner) to C2 (mastery) and by everyday topics, so the order follows a real curriculum.

Why is there no translation into my language?

Translation makes your brain route every word through your first language. Linking a word directly to pictures and sound builds the association you use when you actually speak. If you need the translation, it is in the video description in your YouTube interface language.

Is there a VisualMem app?

Not yet. The VisualMem app with flash cards and spaced repetition is in development and will use the same visual library. Until then, the YouTube channels are the product.

How often is new content published?

New word Shorts are added to every channel throughout the week, and longer “50 Words” videos by level are published as a series.
